History

Scornubel's history as a young dragon is clouded with mystique - he does not remember the majority of his childhood, but what he does remember of it is being in Arcane flight territory in a broken cloak and hat and being asked why he was present in the Starwood Strand late at night, as an adolescent dragon. From the few things he had on him that he could discern from there, he ventured to the Tourmaline Archives for safety and quickly learned the magic of conjuration, summoning from other places and illusion and became quite knowledgeable in that field of magic. From the days he woke up in the Starfall Isles with no idea why to now, he has been questioning constantly what his role is, why his memory was blank before that, and only a few times he's gained a glimpse of the possible "why," which has scared him thoroughly. As he goes through life, he tries not to think about it as he's carved his path as quite the conjurer. Though he has yet to be well-known, he's gotten a bit of recognition by the Astravallen Institute and in the town / city of Murkbarrow Close.

Outside of the existential nightmare he feels like his life is, he's spent most of it adventuring in search of friends and knowledge in Sornieth and feels as if he's gotten quite close, having settled down in the Astravallen Institute as a regular visitor and tends to volunteer with its library whenever possible.
Spending a majority of his time in the institute and even practicing his spells there for summoning (or in the adjacent area near the Institute in broader Murkbarrow Close) has caused a multitude of issues, as he has summoned anomalous creatures many times by experimenting. Despite constantly having to take responsibility for whatever he is unable to send back, he seems rather laid back.
He considers himself the de-facto leader of the "Duskhaze Coven," a group of him and his friends who are determined to solve the mysteries of Sornieth, for a multitude of reasons. Him being the "leader" of the group pisses off his friend Octember, but it's necessary to keep the somewhat power-hungry fae in check.

Triviaxxxxxxxxx

- The majority of the fabric present on his wings among the cobwebs are mainly just from curtains he's ripped through on various occasions.
- His partner is Tal.
- Out of all of the Duskhaze Coven "members," he somehow is closest to Zilraeos (one of the progenitors of the Astravallen Institute) mainly because of the number of catastrophes he's caused that have been notable to Zilraeos.
- Scornubel's style of communication is usually short and straight to the point, until you start talking philosophy and about existence. That's one of the topics that he tends to talk at length about.
- He is very interested in the Shade as a deity (though would never consider worshipping it, as he's loyal to the Shadowbinder) and is intrigued by the concept of such things as the Hivemind, which he learned of quickly after summoning a Banescale Drone and having it promptly trying to assimilate everybody inside the Institute.
- Scornubel is named after a D&D town in the Swords Coast that is a town mainly filled with merchants.
- Some would describe him as negligent or cold and calculating due to his laid-back attitude towards the things he summons or releases, but by people who are somewhat close to him (Zilraeos, Octember, Tal, etcetera) he's quite the kind fellow. He's just not one for talking, as mentioned above.

- Try not to remove the transparent X's above though, or your text will get shoved to the side.
- And we wouldn't want that. But if you want more space you can add more X's or remove them for less space in this column!
