Ilirnas

It was in the dead of the dead of night that Ilirnas first saw her. And ever after that first fateful meeting, Ilirnas can’t get her out of her head. The most beautiful dragon, soft and sweet, with a beautiful voice and a natural elegance that Ilirnas doesn’t even dare to dream of. They met multiple times after that, never talking for more than a few moments. It wasn’t until the fifth meeting that Ilirnas realized that she’s in love.

As they grew older, both of them found their place in the clan. Ilirnas became a blacksmith. She loved to create, and physical labor was perfect for her. Her love, however, became something else. Ilirnas heard whispers, rumors, of a dragon that you could call whenever you wanted to get rid of someone. She didn’t want to believe it. That beautiful, elegant dragon, a mercenary? An assassin? It couldn’t be true, right?

But one day, Ilirnas sees her love step into the smithy. Their eyes meet, and Ilirnas sees the shock on the other’s face. “Hey, haven’t seen you in a while!”, Ilirnas jovially says. That immediately lightens the mood, and the other dragon approaches her calmly. “Yeah, I’ve been busy.”, she says, in that beautiful voice of hers. “Listen, I need a new weapon. Something elegant, but deadly. Now, I don’t know if you know what I do for a job…” Ilirnas nods. “I know, I’ve heard. You need a weapon that can cut through a dragon.” The assassin looks at her blankly. “You’re not… You’re not mad? Or scared?” Ilirnas sighs. “It was a little hard to accept at first, but I’m more angry that this is the first time you come to me for a weapon.”, she casually replies. The other dragon rfolls her eyes in a very non-elegant, but super cute way, and answers with: “Well, hopefully I can make it up to you then.” Ilirnas grins. She knows exactly what to say next.

“You can if you let me take you on a date!”
