Crack! A Light Clan egg burst open!

Auristela gazed down lovingly at her little hatchling. “Aurelia,” she hummed.

Pulse bobbed his head in approval, his eyes shining with pride. “Our little Golden One,” he murmured happily.

“Mamma! Look what I can do!” Aurelia hummed excitedly, moving away from her siblings towards their mother. Closing her eyes, the young Coatl called forth the new, warm sensation bubbling up within her, only opening her eyes when she felt the warmth of golden light crackling around her.

Auristela gaped down in surprise at her daughter. Could this be the power of the Light Bringers she had heard about in stories as a hatchling? Her wonder-filled eyes creased with confusion as the hum of worry filled the air.

“Aurelia!” Pulse’s concerned hums sounded through the air as he landed by his mate. “Your wings!”

Astonished, the pair watched as their daughter’s wings went from a soft, glittering surface to solid gold.

“She really is one of them,” murmured Auristela, both stunned and amazed. “Aurelia is a Light Bringer.”
