Jewel's egg was at first mistaken for a large rock when it was found out in the hills of the Training Fields. Upon closer inspection, it was found to be an Earth egg, and was swiftly scooped up by Peeps to be carried home so that it could hatch, safe and warmed by the Sun.

Jewel loves insects.

It seems that that is the first thing she decided about herself after she hatched. She tumbled out of her shell, looked around, shook out her wings, and then was off in search of beetles, ants, worms, grasshoppers and butterflies that call home the leafy shrubs and woodland brambles that cover the Sunbeam Ruins.

She's dressed herself to emulate them as an adult. Dressed in green chitin, her armor is home for all things that creep, flutter, squirm and crawl. It is often you will see her reach into her chestplate only to produce a jewel-colored beetle or a fat, meaty nightcrawler. Where do they come from? How do they stay alive when being worn by a dragon? Who knows!
