Athanasius

Enraged at the thought of young Lilu taking the crown, Athanasius insisted on having the crown for himself. It wasn't a hard fought battle, Midnight understood and set a condition. Once Athanasius was instructed to step down, as Midnight had been, the crown would go to Lilu. Athan agreed at the time, but then he had a child of his own, a female, Nychta. He now felt that the crown should go to her. Using his expert methods of intimidation, Athanasius has convinced the Imperials of the Grand Council not make the call for him to step down until he has eliminated Lilu and since it takes a unanimous vote of the Grand Council to call for a Dethroning, he won't be stepping down until he is ready. Therefore, ensuring that the crown goes to the new Queen of Kaos.

This is the meaning of the name:
From the Greek name Αθανασιος (Athanasios), which meant "immortal" from Greek α, a negative prefix, combined with θανατος (thanatos) "death". Saint Athanasius was a 4th-century bishop of Alexandria who strongly opposed Arianism.
