Summary

Toben is said to have been born with the Gladekeeper's blessings, causing nature to prosper in their wake and flowers to bloom amid their scales as if to herald oncoming spring. Their timely arrival at the founding of clan Arsah is widely treated as a good omen and has earned them the clan's favour.

Despite their privileged position, Toben is an enigma to the clan. They neither speak nor try to associate with others closely, appear fearful of those who try to approach them, and yet seek comfort in the company of familiars. While Toben's timid nature is easily abusable, cruelty is ill-advised in practice as the whole clan will seek to retaliate against the perpetrator.


Values

Toben values life above all. They tend to the world around them with all the love of a gardener, joying in its prosperity and despairing in its absence. Dragons, familiars, and plants alike will rejuvenate in their care, yet find the poor fellow unable to defend themselves when targeted. Toben is a sweet but frightful critter and bound to flee when faced with danger. It takes a patient, quiet, and gentle sort to get close to them with any margin of success.


Relationships

Much to all of Arsah's joy, Willheim has gained the deity's favour. They meet only on occasion but take immense pride in the growing number of their devout and exalted offspring. It's said Toben plants a seedling for every new youngster that leaves the nest, longing for a means to remember them.
