Biography
I was sleeping in the garden when I saw you first
He'd put me deep, deep under so that he could work
He'd put me deep, deep under so that he could work
L a r k s p u r
Anyone that knows Larkspur would describe her as overly kind and sweet- always smiling and staying positive, and at the ready to help when needed. A strange Nightcaller indeed, and very unlike her brethren. But really, this is just a persona that she hides behind, a suit of armor that she's perfected over the years.
Lark formed this sham of an identity in order to protect herself from others, fearing that she would end up imprisoned like her father, because inside of her heart is a bottomless pit guided by a deep, burning hunger; one that isn't appeased until blood is shed. Lark has been this way since she was a hatchling, and she found that a killing will always satisfy the empty pit, but never for long.
Although this hunger isn't an unusual trait to have among her lineage, Lark still worried over her fate and did not trust those closest to her in Clan Umbra. She never knew how far to take things, or where to draw the line, so she would slip out under false pretenses to go hunt, tracking down any stray dragon or lost traveler to satisfy her appetite.
As she aged, she learned to control her Nightcaller instincts by directing her hunger onto those who deserve it most- criminals, murderers, etc.. and her fake, form-fed demeanor always lures them in.
You were the brightest shade of sun I had ever seen
Your skin was gilded with the gold of the richest kings
And you will surely be the death of me
At last, at last
Bones of my bones and flesh of my flesh, at last
Bones of my bones and flesh of my flesh, at last
