► ABOUT
This species is extremely variable in color, ranging from less pink to more white. As babies, their favorite food is maple leaves, and they can defoliate entire trees in a short period of time. When they are fully grown adults, they do not need to eat. They usually stay close together as babies, and go their separate ways as adults. They are somewhat rare to see, but you are lucky if you are able to catch a glimpse of their beautiful coat. As a Saturniidae, he will often check in on the nesting babies. They are also one of the smallest Saturniidae species.
