However, we request that you not touch anything. These artifacts are seething with a deep darkness and if you lay a single finger on them, they could possess you at an instant. You'd be at our Lord's mercy before you could say "Spare my life, Great One!"


You won't only find artifacts about our Lord, but his glorious kingdom as well. You mortals know it as the Kingdom of Darkness, but in reality, we bare its name:

About the Kingdom:


Appearance:


Formerly known as the Kingdom of Darkness or the Dark Kingdom, XEROKING is the reclaimed name of this kingdom of gloom and decay, named after its conqueror, Lord Xero.


The kingdom is known for being shrouded in infinite darkness, and being surrounded by obsidian mountains near the outskirts. The land is barren and covered in deep gashes from not only the working military under its protection, but the many battles that raged amongst its thick, metal walls.

Buildings are all created out of metal of sorts, and the whole kingdom relies on technology to keep running. Even if the tech all dies or is destroyed, however, they can rely on dark magic and energy to continue thriving as they rebuild.


XEROKING is a scarred, war-stricken kingdom that relies on dark energy to thrive and remain strong. However, it's an easy target for other beings of darkness who want to eliminate its ruler and take over themselves -- or simply destroy it due to a grudge they hold.



Food and Diet products:


Most food consists of meat and metallic materials. However, some are particular about what they eat, and while organics can't live in this world for more than 5 days, meals very similar to fruit from other realms had been able to be crafted and are just as satisfying as the real thing -- if not more. Only the most experienced of chefs have the ability to make such meals, due to having to use different resources compared to hunting a meal and simply extracting the meat.



XEROKING has a selection of restaraunts as well, most of them being very popular amongst the kings and military. Most of them are very classy and meant for only a select few -- as in, those with a high reputation in the kingdom. Due to lack of any sort of currency, one's ability to get a reservation in such a restaraunt is judged upon how well they serve the kingdom and keep themselves appearing worth entering such a fancy place.



The kingdom also has famous drinks, the most famous one being Flowing Darkness. Based off Xero's destructive power, the drink is rich and enfused with shadowy liquid with a soft, foamy texture, and topped with small metal bits to showcase the result of Xero's apperance in another world. The drink also has swirls of other liquid and is said to become colder the further down one reaches.


While Flowing Darkness is the most named drink, others do exist in honor of other beings not only inhabiting the kingdom, but even some allies. One such drink would be the Rose Obsidian, named after the kingdom's latest ally, Ultimo 00.

As it hints, the drink is rather dark colored, but also has a light hint of rosy scent and flavor, as well as a dark pink and red blend on the outside. Due to Ultimo's love for roses, Lord Xero found it most suitable to give the drink this image. After a few parties in Ultimo's honor, Rose Obsidian became a hit for romantic couples or those going on a first date, and even the great kings can be seen sharing one with him from time to time.



Citizens:


No fleshy creatures exist in the kingdom, and its inhabitants are machines of various kinds, as well as creatures of darkness who became followers of Lord Xero during his reign. While the kingdom mostly consists of black, red, and grey colors, some of the inhabitants don somewhat brighter colors, such as silver and brighter shades of purple. However, they all remain true to the kingdom's reputation as representing true darkness, and avoid bright colors while able.

The only exception to this is the kingdom's second king, Destructo, of whom always appears in white clothing and was crafted out of shimmering, silver armor. However, no one minds his appearance due to being a mighty superweapon and the husband of their lord.



Military:


Various types of Battle Mechs make the army what it is. From the blade-weilding Slashers to the digging Scorpios, there are different soldiers for different situations, including what kind of terrain they may emerge in should they invade. These soldiers are mostly clad in black and red armor with crimson visors. The higher the rank, the more markings their armor has, especially around the shoulders, chest, and head. Some soldiers, like the Scorpios, have more markings on their tails and giant claws, and the Fliers have more wings upon reaching a promotion; Six being the most one can obtain, but none of them had been able to prove their worth before retirement.


The kingdom's military also has a soldier whose armor stands out from the rest: Commander Xac, the head leader after Destructo made his retirement. He was built as a super soldier, and does his job willingly and without hesitation. His reputation as a soldier is known amongst anyone who hears his name, and just the mere thought of him cause even the bravest warriors to tremble.

Despite his differences with his soldiers, Xac lead the army in a most commanding manner, ensuring that everything was perfect and done to his high standards. If they failed him, they were going to find out -- and they wouldn't like it.


Just like the kingdom itself, Xac carried an intimidating presense, and showcased his power with ease. He had multiple weapons for various situations, but he mostly relied on his sharp claws and keen senses. The sounds of his claws scraping anything they touched was enough to send most foes fleeing in fear...And that's when he revealed his power in combat.


Now having retired, Xac has a new job as a model, and is aiming to become a unversal superstar. His first reveal was a success, and citizens of XEROKING enjoyed seeing the more fun-loving side of their most powerful soldier.



The Present:


XEROKING is not known for having visitors, but it has its allies in Shadlyn and in a sense, the Light Kingdom, the latter due to engaging in a truce to stop all their fighting.

Long ago, Light and Dark always had an ongoing war, and while the original gods were soon wiped out, these fights continued when new ones took their place. It took a fatal blow for the Darkness to make the first attempt at a truce, and while the Light rejected at first, the two soon came to an agreement - despite their mistrust toward each other.


XEROKING now only fights off intruders from other realms, and while they've not appeared in a while, Xero and Xac in particular are always prepared for any sudden attacks...Especially since that both have a goal of total destruction.
