Biography
Aspen
He/Him

Personality and Interests
Aspen is typically a dedicated researcher. He takes his work seriously and tries to be as objective as possible. This would be easier if he didn't have a massive love of drama. He couldn't resist gossip or a good story. He really hoped it wasn't obvious in his writings.
Biography
The stack of dusty documents in front of Aspen was slowly shrinking as he worked his way through. He had been through them a few times now, but he felt he finally had them in the right order. The damaged books and scraps of paper have been ravaged by time.
It had taken so long to reassemble them into their original order. It would have been easier if everything was dated. A few did have dates, but it wasn't enough. They just had to compare events and use that to place each page in chronological order.
They settle down to read, the story unfolding before them. Much of it was the type of daily routine that delighted any scholar of the past. However, there were mentions that captured their attention.
It seems that the writer had been some type of mage. They had peppered in references to their work alongside their personal issues and jotted down shopping lists that covered the pages. Some information was lost to damage, but they could still read decades of the life of this one person.
They had noted a conflict with another mage. It slowly became tenser and eventually came to a head. They had written about verbal fights that escalated to duels as they argued over their differences. Right as it spoke of some type of final confrontation, the record stopped.
Perhaps they had lost. Perhaps the writer had merely lost the books. Or perhaps the experiments they noted down in the margins proved to be their undoing. All he could do was read and translate so he could share his findings.
