Biography
i didnt know you could put genes on your dragon later and i didnt know there was a tertiary color and i paid the price for my ignorance
knowing only what i knew then?
i stand by my decision
Her parents named her Slipstream to represent an easy life, but the grind of her work at the Lightning Farm became too much for her.
She planned to run away, but after crossing the barrens she landed to get a drink from a rare water source and encountered a few dragons living here, some lightning, some not. It was the beginnings of a research station: the sand's properties have been altered by (decades? centuries? millennia? I refuse to research the dragon lore) of lightning and Lightning energy running through it. She had thought that it was impossible to live permanently in this harsh landscape, but seeing that it was very much possible--and becoming attached to some of the dragons here--she decided to stay and investigate the sand with them.
Located mostly underground, and removed from the grid (using only what electricity can be harnessed from the sand itself), the lair attracts little attention. It's mostly a live-and-let-live situation, with connections to a few different flights. As long as the lightning superiors get the occasional progress report and a little bit of kickback from the profits, they're willing to look the other way. Officially, it exists to find a way for Lightning to harness 100% of its own energy and lose none to the wilderness, but no one sees this as a realistic goal.
Over time, the station has grown into a larger base, a haven for dragons of many breeds and species to live.
