An eccentric member of the research and innovation division; Merlino is an avid learner and is full of gusto and...impulsiveness. Merlino specialises in hybridizing plants and experimental alchemy. Sometimes merging the two to the dismay of his more level headed peers.

Merlino is a very humorous dragons and was nicknamed saladork by Sabre when they were both hatchlings because of his goofy personality and tendency to crack bad jokes.. Instead of being offended by this Merlino instead took it a bit too far. Reffering to his hybrids as his precious salad children and to his coworkers as his chloropal's.
They have all come to hate this, and starting the trend is one of Sabre's biggest regrets.

Explosions in the lab are usually Merlino's fault. And he has been the culprit of many accidental hybrids between research teams due to his negligence in cleaning himself off after interacting with his own experiments.

He is responsible for keeping the lab from becoming all gloom and doom though. And is good friends with a few of the clan's other cheerful residents.
