- the withering chorus doesn't really do the whole clan hierarchy thing, but Ireul is the closest that could be considered to be a leader/founder
- they do not speak, only sing cryptic words in eerie harmony.
- the chorus might actually be a cult but like. clan umbra has seen weirder and worse things so it's fine
- Ireul keeps the Chorus' reasons for travel locked up tight; no one speaks of it; truly, it may be possible no one other than themselves and Kinzu know at all.
- potentially on pilgrimage to the wyrmwound; under the guise of undergoing their next change/adaptation; plans are actually far more nefarious (well, i suppose that depends on who you ask)
- ireul is very sure that they are walking straight to their death
- they are taking an incredibly long, roundabout route, however; for some reason wanting to make their pilgrimage into a sort of grand spectacle
