Shruikan (named after a dragon in The Inheritance Cycle) is a queen. She is always on her best and most diplomatic behavior and takes care to be a lady at most times, but can spice her attitude when the call to action is sounded or whatever.

In more of a wooded area, resides a solitary female Guardian. She is one of the largest females here, though she is not very muscular. She is quite slender. She is solid black and extremely beautiful. She is straightforward, honest, and knows what she wants. She comes off as reserved to some. Reserved and, to those who don't know her well, very mean. She has built herself a place akin to where she grew up. She hears rustling from up top. A lazy-looking bipedal llama makes his way into her lair.

Martin: We got a visitor.

Shruikan: Not now.

Martin: Yes, now. It's Debbie.

Shruikan: ... Not. Now.

Martin: C'mon, lady. She is the matriarch here. You know we both grew up in a matriarchal society.

Shruikan: Well, she ain't my matriarch.

Debbie intrudes. She is losing patience with some of her clan. The longneck yipes and hides behind Shruikan.

Shruikan: Knock next time, would you?

Debbie: Never mind that. Tell me your sad life's story and then I'll leave.

Shruikan ponders for a moment and looks at her familiar.

Shruikan: Martin. Would you care to get Debbie a glass of tea, please.

And the little longneck does indeed get her some tea, though not in a glass, but in a large teacup that he has to push over to her. Debbie thanks him and accepts the tea. Shruikan sits in front of Debbie with her tail curled around her feet.

Shruikan: I don't really know where to start.

Debbie: Take your time.

In reality, Debbie does not wish for Shruikan to take her time. She'd rather be on her way.

Shruikan: So, I didn't grow up with dragons.

Debbie: Oh?

Shruikan: Yeah. I was raised with the longnecks from the Southern Icefield, so I don't know exactly where I was hatched. Martin's family had raised me. When he and I were both grown enough, we lived a bit of a nomadic life. We go quite well together.

Debbie: Indeed, you do. Well, thank you for the tea. As promised, I'll be off.

Shruikan watches Debbie slink her way through the tunnels of trees she used to make her lair. She decides she'd fancy a flight, now. Martin climbs onto her back without saying anything, now being able to read her. She crawls out of her lair and took flight over the expansive ocean and gave herself and her familiar a moment of peace before she pulls her wings inward and dove into the water below.
