Excision Enchantress
Purify the Deep Seas Dweller of Tangled Kelp Beds The sound is desperate, a pleading chime that Jayavean struggles to explain. She glances around to her clan where none seem the wiser. "You don't hear it?" she whispers to no one, knowing the answer. Even over the roar of the storm and clang of machinery, a Fae flitting by asks, "Hear what?" The Fae doesn't pause longer than it takes to squeak out her question before zipping away. Jayavean watches then lets her gaze continue toward the source of the mournful ring. Lately, her heart has been restless, this nebulous undertaking of finding the sound's source pulls at her and without thinking, she finds herself racing to the north. The reverberating bell peals more clearly, almost becoming a crying plea, but Jayavean realizes its so far away, she can only wonder how she can hear something so distant. She continues to glide until on the edge of a stretch of shoals and giant tidal pools where a strange wind swirls. The sound seems to be engulfed by a dragon pouring forth an ink-like substance. Her intuition is indescribable, this dragon could be an enemy but has answers. Warily, Jayavean swoops down to the shore and, despite the growing alarm at the strange ink pouring into the shoal, calls to the cryptic agent. At once, the ink and wind wane, the dragon stretches and roars before the magic fades and the chime intensifies. "So," the dragon purrs, "Someone is finally listening." Within the depths of trenches and sea caves, darkness is presupposed but where hardly a soul ventures, the shade recovers.
