As real drones are difficult to control without a hijacker, psuedo-drones are a very convenient alternative, and are created to behave towards their master like drones would to a consciousness: unquestioningly obedient. They lack the pure genetics of the body. Some psuedo-drones are close enough to drones in mind that they can be connected to real hives.
