bamboo-cutter | modest | shy 
Abasis is a humble bamboo cutter for the circus, helping provide the materials needed to build new attractions and tents. In return for her help, all she asks for is a roof over her head, though the circus members often go above and beyond Abasis' simple request. Often they'll give her food claiming they've made too much, or invite her to celebrations and feasts, treating her as one of the circus members. Though, she really doesn't know why... She just supplies them with bamboo, she doesn't own an attraction or work for the circus any other way.

She had initially stumbled upon the circus when she was old enough to leave her parents' den and set off, but was caught in a storm on her first night by herself. Hungry and in need of shelter. Coming across Sasta, she begged to be let into her home for the night, offering her bamboo-cutting services in return. Although Sasta had let her in without a need to repay her, the skydancer had done so anyway, not wanting to be left indebted to the spiral. Impressed with her work, Sasta had offered her a permanent place to stay in return for more of her services, and elated to find both a home and a job in a small amount of time. The skydancer is rather insecure about herself, not thinking of herself as anything more than just "a bamboo cutter". After all, it's the only life she's ever known. Her parents were bamboo cutters, and their parents were bamboo cutters and their parents... well, you get the idea. Despite this, members of the circus will try to bring her out of her shell, deeming her a friend and one of them. Abasis' views on herself never make her deny such invitations or views, as her parents had also taught her about respect, and that would probably be very rude. |

| Slowly, Abasis has been coming out of her shell, and she's becoming more comfortable being around the circus members and being treated like one. She's even begun building an attraction stall herself, with Sasta's permission of course, to teach hatchlings the art of bamboo cutting. With wooden swords and bamboo dummies, Abasis hopes to pass down her knowledge to dragons far and wide, and maybe step up from being "a bamboo cutter" to being "the bamboo cutter". |
