Located In the greek mythological underworld the Cocytus river Is noted as the river of wailing, as one of the six rivers In Hades Cocytus branches off from the river Styx Into the river Acheron. This specific river Is known as a circular river and empties into Tartarus and is associated with the punishment of murderers.
