 Negiri Protector of the Spirit Gate, Mother of Many (plus Phrenic i guess...), Self-proclaimed Mayor and Co-founder of Greenbriar, Wife of Xolo, GreatGrandmammy of the clan's hatchlings, Lister of Absurd Amounts of Professional-Sounding Titles, so on and so forth... Theme: Kwolok's Throne Room from the Ori and The Will of The Wisps soundtrack In her own eyes, Negiri is a stone-cold warrior queen. To everyone else, she is the undisputed clan-leader, an Amazon, or in some cases... GreatGrandmammy. She and her household laid the foundations of what Greenbriar is today. For as long as anyone in town can remember, Negiri has guarded the Spirit Gate from the unworthy. The Gate is her charge after all. She may not always have the answers, but she makes up for it with tactics, debates, and the occasional magically-enhanced fight. Greenbriar has had its fair share of trouble over the years, but lately things have been getting out of hand. Less and less dragons return from their trips into the Spirit Gate, that upstart kid from the Shifting Expanse is making a mess of the woods, and on top of it all, Negiri's own grandkids are acting like scoundrels. How did it come to this? she wonders. Just a few years ago, we were making a little home for ourselves, and now an entire village worth of problems rests on my shoulders. I wish one of my daughters would do something useful, but they're all busy working their day jobs or chasing ridiculous notions. What to do... |
