Biography
╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮ CALLIOPE Quill Mistress ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Curator of the elusive, longing dream. "A woman sits by the bank to ponder. She thinks of wonderful things." |
S U M M A R Y
Calliope is the Higher Garden's resident poet. Mortals in the realm below are at the mercy of her quill; whether they toss and turn, or dream of a foggy lover holding them tight. She takes her job very seriously and refuses to purposely spin poems of misery and horror. Often she is holed up in her domain, surrounded by scrap paper and emptied ink pots that served to write tear-jerking prose. T R I V I A » Despite being apt with romantic writing, she is unfamiliar with romance as a whole. » She despises Dionysus for her flamboyant attitude, but likes his protege. » Apollo's songs are often written by her. |

I look at you looking at the world
A milky mist thrown over it You shut your eyes, facing the sun It is more sensation than fractals of light How the breeze is a young fawn one you cannot see and cannot outrun From my place behind the glass I cannot feel the sun But it is pink and yellow, dancing on your skin I look at you look at me and wonder what shape I have taken in your mist If it was possible, my eyes would be yours So you can taste the wind and see her stir up the leaves as she gallops Yugen wrote:
The birth from departure
A souvenir from a place that we abandoned Not Left me with nothing But the rusted sword in my hands Emptiness sits next to me In morning and in night But Inside I am filled Flowers that rise to my Throat thought the sunrise Delicate petal fibers that Furnish tired eyes Until they are bright For now They will keep me company Berinjela wrote:
When i dip my hands into the lake
circles of sweet water run to the other ends; it’s telling the life inside that i am here Wolftail pollen flies into my mouth i shake the bitter taste out it’s strong reeds bend in the wind, saying that it’s sorry. “It’s alright!” nobody is bitter on purpose everyone makes mistakes the kelp sways with every new circle and hopefully, it is happy to see me. the person in the lake smiles at me, So I smile back. it’s always nice to be by the water. |

Red is the hue of fire
Warm, like sizzling coals It is your mighty scales Shielding me from the blue winter It is also water rushing by my ears The sound of your voice Slithering between my fingers like finely woven silk When I sleep, I try to imagine purple the scent of haze but the taste of tea I imagine you Voice grave as it is gentle muttering of Fuschia and Chartreuse Kit wrote:
At 3 in the afternoon, a man comes in
He is dragged in by his crying friends They scream for my help, he’s losing blood and they don't know what to do Staining the cot’s sheets an expression is etched One that only men who know They won’t make it wear I’ve seen the face many times Some by children Some by the elderly regardless of their face, You find that death makes everyone similar in the end His smile is gentle like the rolling of clouds outside it remains on his cheeks even after he’s gone I touch his forehead surrounded by the heat of the world he is cool and mild For a moment, I envied him. |
