Biography
Rowdy wrote:
Rowdy ran away from home at a young age to escape mistreatment at the hands of his parents. Dirty, lost, and starving, he was found by a traveling circus who happily took him in and cared for him. During his time with the circus, he discovered that his truest calling was spreading joy and making others laugh. He has grown up performing as a clown, magician, and mime ever since.

If there's something you want to know, chances are Null's your guy. With a keen ability to uncover hidden information, Null knows just about everything about everyone he comes into contact with. Despite this, nobody really knows anything about him... including himself.
While Null is adept at gathering intel, he is lacking in the emotions department. A brain injury from his youth has left him with dampened emotions, poor decision-making skills, and a serious lack of impulse control. Because of this, He's gained a bit of a reputation for his casual attitude and how it contrasts with his wild and unpredictable antics. There's a never a dull moment when Null is involved in something.

Born into a severely impoverished community, Brax has grown up on the streets fighting tooth and nail for everything he has. He has lived his whole life working day-in and day-out to provide for the people around him. His and other young peoples' contributions to their neighborhood have resulted in the entire community feeling like one big family.
Brax is jumpy and tends to throw his size and weight around first and ask questions later. Being big and strong comes with obvious advantages, but some of the less advantageous parts are harder to see. Stubborn and aggressive, Brax will often refuse any sort of help, especially from outsiders. Not only is he slow to trust others, but his inability to show weakness has led him down a lonely and unforgiving road.
Braxton believes that if he works hard enough, he can make sure that no one he cares about ever has to endure the things he's had to from such a young age. Loyal to a fault, he keeps his eyes on the horizon and does everything in his power to protect the people he loves.

She does her best and wants to be friends with everyone, but finds it hard to get along with the other mages due to her uncanny bad luck. Andromeda has gone out of her way to invite her to the guild anyway, knowing she doesn't have a lot of other means of social interaction.
She tends to keep to herself due to bad past experiences.
She has a fascination with the unknown and loves solving riddles and puzzles. Much of her free time is spent skulking around the forbidden portal, much to the university's dismay. Muse is sure she'll get herself hurt, but Mundane insists she be allowed to explore as she pleases... almost like y knows something the others don't...

The tapping of clawed footfalls draws draws Misfortune from their thoughts, prompting them to whip around and face the source of the noise. The dark silhouette of a wildclaw stands almost ominously in the archway. Misfortune draws their spell book from where it's attached at their hip and lift their claw, ready to defend themself.
"You're new down here, mm?" The stranger speaks.
"B-back off!" They curse under their breath for stuttering. The wildclaw makes no attempt to approach them from where it's now leaning in the doorway. Misfortune's claw glows where it hovers over their book. "I'm warning you, I know magic. I can– I can turn you inside out."
"It's been a long time since anyone from the university bothered coming to this place. Are you lost?" The stranger's voice is a low rasp that makes Misfortune's scales crawl.
"Like I'd tell you," they snap back. The wildclaw sighs.
"The sewers are rather dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. I'd advise you to put the spell book down before you hurt someone, as I fear it will most likely be you."
Misfortune tenses, rearing up and holding out their claw as though they're about to cast, only to slowly lower it shortly after. Sighing, they drape their long, noodly body over the statue they're resting atop and let their spell book fall back to their side.
"So even dragons here have heard of me, huh?" They sigh, their tail hanging limp with the spade at the end pointed to the ground. The wildclaw in the doorway saunters in, now revealing a few flickering candles mounted to its back. When it's no longer shrouded in complete darkness, Misfortune is able to make out the red swirls in its eyes. A Plague dragon. They tense up, fearing what a dragon from the wastes might do. To their relief, all it does is offer them a candlestick. Hesitating, they awkwardly fumble with the wax object in their shaky claws. Is it a trap? Will it explode? With a smile, the wildclaw extends one of its own candles to light it with.
"I've no clue who you are, actually," It admits before taking a seat beside the statue, fitting its candle back onto the wax mantle on its back. "Which is precisely the problem, because I know every name and face here in the sewers. That means you're new. We don't get newcomers very often."
"Don't worry, I won't bother you long. I'm simply staying here until I can find a way to catch a ship headed east. Then I won't be anyone's problem anymore."
"Is that so?" It glances up at them out of the corner of its eye. "If you want to sneak into the docks, there's a corridor that leads south from the main cistern. I can give you the key to the gate if you'd like, though it's quite easy to pick."
"Ah. Well, uh… maybe." Misfortune's icy eyes are fixed on the candle in their claws, the flickering flame casting dancing lights over their shiny black scales. The silence lingers, snuffing out their motivation like a wet blanket. Finally, they groan and lower the candle, putting it out between the tips of their claws. "Ugh, I won't do it. I never do. Besides, then I would just cause problems for whatever ship I stowed away on."
"Ah, I think I understand." The wildclaw nods sagely, the chains around its neck rattling. Misfortune glances up from their slump, eyeing the stranger with skepticism.
"What are you talking about?"
"I've seen this before," it admits, "you blame yourself for the misfortune that befalls others around you, yes?"
At that, Misfortune remains silent, looking pointedly away. Their long, looping body instinctively curls up on itself and they can't help but want to tie themself into a knot. At their lack of an answer, the stranger continues.
"All's well, little one, you're in good company."
"Really?" They turn back to the stranger, ears perking up. They do their best not to look too hopeful. The wildclaw offers a tender, almost knowing smile.
"Of course, of course. Come with me, you won't be able to get any rest in this place." It stands, the chains rattling and clanking some more. Misfortune hesitantly sits up, getting to their claws and feet.
"Where are we going?"
"To bed. In a real bed, not on top of a statue. Come along, the tunnels can be confusing when you're unfamiliar with them. I'll guide you."
"I suppose if you insist…" Misfortune slinks down off the statue, hovering above the wildclaw's head as it leads them out of the dark and into a more winding path. They can't help but notice the other's metal collar and cuffs, rusted, broken chains wrapped over and around its reddish green body. Lanterns suspended from the chains on its wings creak and clank as they sway with its surprisingly careful gait. "Hey, by the way, what's your name?"
"Me? Oh, I haven't had a proper name in a long, long time. Everyone here just calls me The Servant. You're free to do the same if you'd like."
"Oh. Um, I see."
"And yours?" Servant glances over to them from the corner of its swirling red eyes. They swallow hard and take a moment to finally answer.
"Misfortune."

Mundane and ys counterpart, Muse are remnants of the old clan who've stuck around to watch over new generations. Having been around since the old times, y remembers what things were like before the migration to Arcanist's territory and even before that. Rarely does y speak of those days, stating "the past is better left behind us."
While Mundane rarely has much to do with the daily goings on of the university or the town, it seems that nothing gets by m. Y knows everyone who comes to town, every newcomer nameless or not. While y doesn't go out of ys way to greet the majority of dragons who find their way to Spellside, y's happy to help should they ask m to.
Most often, Mundane can be found meditating in the forest atop some of the taller crystal cliffs above town.
