Gatekeeper

Aurora, the adopted daughter of Vargas, a powerful ice mage, grew up with her sister Adelie in the harsh and unforgiving lands of Snowville. Her early life was shrouded in mystery, as she and her sister were abandoned by their biological parents shortly after their birth. They were taken in by a kind-hearted librarian, but the woman was struggling with her own mental and financial problems and was unable to provide for them. They were forced to leave and wander the world, relying on the kindness of strangers and begging for food and shelter.

One day, their luck changed when they stumbled upon Vargas, a dragon mage with mastery over ice magic. He saw something special in the sisters and decided to take them in as his own. Unlike their previous caretaker, Vargas was a kind and loving father who taught them how to survive in the harsh wilderness and introduced them to the world of magic.

Aurora and her sister were fascinated by his abilities and were eager to learn more. However, Vargas was tight-lipped about his magic, and they could only guess at the true extent of his powers.

As they grew older, Aurora and Adelie decided to help their father in his role as a gatekeeper at the Trade Point. They were able to use their knowledge of the land and their skills in survival to help protect the traders and merchants who passed through. Despite this, Aurora and her sister still wonder about the true extent of their father's magic and why he keeps it a secret. Now Aurora still live with her sister and father in the Trade Point and continue to help him in his duty as a gatekeeper.
