♫ With shortness of breath, I'll explain the infinite; How rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist ♪

Atziri has always been a bit of a bleeding heart. Some might say that she loves too easily, and to that she might agree, but she'd never dare to suppress those emotions. She has deep scars in her heart from loving and caring so deeply, but she doesn't see that as a bad thing. Rather, she feels as though she has lived fully and truly. Her one hope is that she can show others how to be as open and feel as at peace as she is before her life comes to an end.

Born in the hellwell undercroft of the scarred wasteland, Atziri was the eldest of a clutch of three eggs. Her mother and father were the leaders of a large clan that laid claim to a sizeable portion of the wandering contagion. They'd recently taken up leadership roles within the undercroft, hence why Atziri and her siblings were born there.
15586.png Her father was a strict, menacing dragon, who came from a long line of plague dragons. He pushed Atziri and her siblings to train and become strong, even as hatchlings. She was prone to strong emotions, though, and every time she'd cry her father would scold her for being weak. Her mother, who had been born in the tangled wood, was a bit more merciful. She encouraged Atziri not to shut off her strong emotions, but to embrace them.
One of her siblings passed away from illness when they were all still young, and Atziri took this very hard. This event would be the catalyst that changed how she viewed the world. She no longer accepted her father's outlook thoughtlessly, instead questioning the plague flight's way of life.
As an adolescent her father planned to give her away to the heir of a much larger clan in the scarred wasteland, where she could one day become a leader just like him, but Atziri refused. She had grown to hate the wasteland and how the plague flight lived. More than that, she hated that she was a part of it. So, with nothing but a few rations, she left the only home she had ever known and journeyed alone across the wastes until she eventually reached the eastern border.

She traversed the foxfire bramble and made her way to murkbarrow close, where she finally found a place to rest. Her mother had told stories of her old home, the wispwillow grove, where Atziri had planned to travel, but she didn't know how to get there. So she stayed in murkbarrow, seeking information on how she might find the grove, for several weeks.
52031.png After nearly two full months she finally met a traveler who knew the tangled wood well, and he agreed to guide her to the grove. Traveling with someone who didn't think only of survival was a new experience for Atziri, but not one she didn't like. She found herself quickly growing fond of her travelling companion, and for once she didn't feel the need to hide such sentiments. It was a pleasant journey, and it was only after they'd reached their destination that she realized she didn't want it to end.

Instead of staying in the grove and finding a clan there as she'd initially planned, Atziri asked to continue travelling with her companion. The traveler, a wildclaw of the shadow flight by the name of ??, agreed to keep travelling together, as he, too, had grown fond of her. Together they journeyed all across the tangled wood, and then beyond. They fell in love and eventually decided to return to the tangled wood to lay down roots and start a family together.
They made their way back to wispwillow grove, found a suitable place to make their nest, and got to work turning the small spot into a home where they'd be happy to raise their hatchlings and live for years to come.
