Personality: A true lady of mystery, Consuela makes no excuses for herself nor the things she does. Consuela is a quiet and observant dragoness, she has no trouble using all those around her to further her goals and doing whatever it takes to reach her goals. she can seem friendly a even as though she cares for the ones around her until they become a threat to her plans or they become useless to her.

Background: Daughter of a cruel queen, Consuela learned every trick her mother was willing to teach her and perfected her own, she was her mother's pride for awhile and was treated with every luxury she could imagine, a perfect life for a perfect daughter. she was kept well away from her father knowing him only for the weakness her mother claimed he had and the paintings of him which were few as it was, if she saw him in the castle she would simply curtsy as was expected of her.
She was soon replaced as her mother's favorite by a new clutch of hatchlings and she, still a hatchling herself, was sent off to a new clan with an older male she had never met yet was expected to marry and manipulate. Consuela threw herself into her mother's plan of extending her reach to every corner of the land, her would be husband took to correcting the small behaviors he didn't like and she accepted his corrections with grace learning to please him.

Soon enough she found that she had gotten used to pleasing her soon to be husband, replacing her mother with the male and craving his approval as she had once craved her mother's approval. she lived this way for a few years and was quite taken with the male and found herself quickly climbing socially within the clan they were living in and she was happy taking power from within the clan and gaining standing within the surrounding clans.
Suddenly Consuela found herself alone so very alone, the male she was supposed to be married to vanished, Consuela tried to find him, chased after him, and couldn't find even a trace of him. she tried desperately to find him and in the end left her home in her search, she told stories which made her and her would be husband look as if they had been separated in an attack. it was when she left one small clan that she was caught by bandits and taken to a cave to wait for someone to find her.

She didn't know how long she had been there, a drake next to her talked seemingly nonstop and in a way it was aggravating beyond anything she had experienced to that point yet in another way it was a relief because he drowned out the silence. Consuela learned to tune him out while listening to the bandits talk about this or that, all she wanted was to get free and get revenge for her treatment at the hands of the bandits.
Her chance at freedom would come when two dragons came in and more or less stumbled upon them, the fight with the bandits was a long and drawn out affair with her would be rescuers proving to be at best ill prepared and at best and near useless at worse. the male, Jacob, didn't trust her at all which she could hardly blame as she had done nothing to calm his doubts and the female, Kaliska, seemed to have her own reservations.

Consuela and Desmond, the male she had been trapped with, followed Kaliska and Jacob to a nearby clan and spent time healing before Kaliska seemed to start getting uneasy. without anything else to do Desmond endeared himself to Kaliska and expressed a desire for himself and Consuela to go with them and although Jacob was far from excited he accepted the company.
The kingdom they ended up at was wonderful and while Kaliska opened a fortune telling shop, Consuela made her plans to get closer to the upper class family. Consuela found her main rival for position in the clan, Queen Mitne, had a fascination with fortune telling and other such things, Consuela began talking about her 'friend', bragging of her fortune telling and other such magics.

Consuela grew closer to Adamar, Shadow's daughter's husband, and Mitne which gave her a place close to the royal family. she found a place with the gossips of the clan which suited her as she twisted what she heard if it furthered her goals or removed a threat or rival, making life miserable for those who made themselves her enemy and making living in the kingdom almost impossible with any guarantee of safety often ending in those dragons leaving.
Consuela did notice Kaliska's discomfort at having Mitne as a regular, but paid little attention as Mitne being close to both of them furthered her goals and the kind little dragoness who had helped her was, unfortunately, collateral damage. Kaliska humored her visits with Mitne and while Consuela couldn't have told if the fortunes were real or not Mitne seemed pleased with what she heard and the solutions offered by the other dragoness. Consuela had seen Kaliska give out fortunes, never offering cheap trinkets to "drive off negative energy" or "change one's fate", she had such trinkets for sale, but never forced them for a solution.

Jacob soon came to Kaliska bragging of a job he wanted to take that would have them travel to a different clan and Kaliska was more than happy to accompany him. when Desmond found out he jumped at the chance to go with them and she chose to accompany them as there might be something of use to her at the smaller clan. when they left Mitne and Shadow accompanied them to the kingdom's gates and bid them a fond farewell and a safe travel, Consuela was tickled at the open show of favor and left the kingdom in high spirits.
The travel was calm for the most part, the clan being a few days travel from the kingdom and the weather being as nice as it was. the centaur attack was something none of them had thought was coming, seeing them focus on Kaliska was confusing and worrying, but they fought back with everything they had. Consuela found the beast clan's aggression toward them confusing as the land they traveled on was not known to be the centaurs' favored grounds or even a place that had been fought over.

Hearing Kaliska cry out and hit the ground Consuela shoved her doubts to the back of her mind as the fighting picked up and the danger they were in became a very real thing. they were loosing the fight badly, Desmond was backing toward Kaliska and Jacob as the other male fell beside the dragoness, fear making Desmond seek comfort from his companions. Kaliska suddenly got to her feel, eyes black and features marred with a frightening snarl as dark, suffocating magic pulsed from her claws and sent the centaur flying back.
Kaliska's face was blank as they looked at their companion and Consuela found herself less sure of their safety as Jacob called "Kaliska?!" as he gently touched her arm and Desmond went to her other side. Consuela went to slit throats and make sure that they would not be in danger as the two males tried to gain Kaliska's attention and the blank, expressionless look and black eyes remained until the last of their attackers were killed.

Kaliska's eyes returned to normal and fell closed as she went limp, obviously drained from whatever she had done, Jacob caught her while Desmond hurried them to a nearby cave and made a bed for their unconscious companion. Jacob made soup while Desmond stayed beside Kaliska, hand on her thin arm, the smaller dragoness looked frail and fragile as she laid quietly asleep, when the soup was done they sat eating and talking quietly.
Kaliska woke with a start and Jacob was quick to comfort her, "Everyone's ok.", and reassured her as she sat back, Desmond was quick to get Kaliska some food. Kaliska told them of her past, she had been banished from her adoptive tribe, her brothers blamed her for their misfortune, and her mother seemed saddened by all of it. why she was being hunted now was unknown to her as she had left without a fight years ago, she didn't know what they were talking about when they asked her about the blast of magic.

Soon enough they had returned to the kingdom, Consuela had kept the event to herself as she wasn't sure what would happen to any of them. Desmond was content to do as he had yet stayed close to Kaliska, wanting her company and comfort, it really reminded Consuela of a child seeking their mother for comfort in times of uncertainty. Consuela continued as she had, being closer to Mitne now than she had been before they left, gossiping with her, being included in events, and being taking as a lover by Adamar.
Consuela was eating with Kaliska, Jacob, and Desmond, it was a way to cement their bonds and reassure they would not leave. a drake walked into their small area and asked to join them for dinner, quiet conversation picked back up until the drake, Darling, started talking about hunting a dragon down. he was looking for Jacob Starling for murder and theft, Jacob stiffened and heard the others make excuses and heard Kaliska make introduction calling them all by false names; the drake finished his meal, thanked them, and left to continue his hunt.
Consuela wondered how she could turn this to her favor.
