Loved

I was “Named” Fodder and thrown out of my previous clan for my unusual eyes and color combination. I wandered the lands alone for two days and night. Finally hungry, cold and depressed, feeling abandoned by my clan and family, I was on deaths door when I stumbled upon Kiwi’s Primal Rescue. The permanent and temporary residents brought me in from the abnormally cold and snowy weather. They gave me a real name, Loved, and with their kindness, I found a new home, a permanent home; with this newfound happiness, I never thought I’d know, my primary and secondary genes changed. They now showed the lovely swirls of changed, hope and connection. My tertiary gene stayed the same, a strong sturdy line that goes straight down my center, lining my wings and head fans, representing resilience, strength and hope to defy the odds stacked against me. I have found my real family and I couldn’t be happier.
