This family offered a place for the clan to stay (when it was just viola, dravite, Jake, sandstorm, and sunflower) a few days after they got out of the Arcane territory and were traveling along the beach by Plagues cliffs, very much not prepared to actually go into Plague territory
They ended up staying for two weeks, resting and then helping around the clan to repay them
They became good friends over those two weeks
Some time after the clan left, Polaris moved the family to the windswept plateau, even more time after that, they learned that their old friends had settled in the reedcliff assent
So they visit each other sometimes! They have a home built (and very fancily painted) into the cliff side for them
