sculpter | imaginative | wistful | playful mate: Celestina | PAIR RANGE Many associate the Scarred Wasteland with sweltering heat and impossible dryness. It is only those who live therethat know of the patches where the temperature plummets below freezing and the air cuts like knives. Most avoid such unforgiving landscapes, but Fern is drawn to these like a moth to a flame. Not only does she prefer the cold, but she is inspired by the ice that covers these grounds. For Fern has an artist's eye, often crafting sculptures from the elements around her and ice is her favorite medium. She loves how it glistens and thrives in the harshest environments, and she strives to create beauty from it. Though Fern is inspired by many scenes in her life, she most often crafts likenesses of dragons dear to her: friends, family, and most often, her muse: Celestina. When Fern first laid eyes on Celestina, she believed her an angel. For how else could a dragon possess such beauty and grace? Celestina laughed and assured Fern that she was a dragon as any other and that her beauty paled in comparison to Fern's magnificent sculptures. Fern vehemently argued, insisting that Celestina was the finest beauty to grace Sorneith and no sculpture of hers could ever do her justice. To prove her point, she asked Celestina to pose for her, to which she agreed. In the days that passed, Fern and Celestina filled their days with pleasant conversation and observations, and Fern soon found herself enjoying Celestina's charm and insight as much as her beauty. Artistic appreciation evolved into love so Fern confessed it. Though flustered, Celestina confessed to mutual feelings, admiring Fern's creativity and boldness, and they became mates shortly after. To this day, Fern continues to try to capture Celestina's beauty in ice. She has yet to succeed but her efforts have resulted in a beautification of the Scarred Wasteland. For many a times a dragon has taken shelter in a chilled cave and come face to face with one of Fern's sculptures. To many, they are considered good omens and used as markers for those who dare venture the Scarred Wasteland.
