Zedan is the son of Elijah (#7313981); his mother is Cinderspine (#7313982). He inherited his father's coloration and his mother's breed. He was the twenty-fifth dragon to arrive at the Solar Solar, just after the clan moved to a larger lair. Zedan had a very serious problem for a Guardian, however: he kept thinking he'd found his Charge, but it was always an object that belonged to somebody else, and each time he learned that he realized it wasn't his Charge after all... until he found a scroll that turned him into a Ridgeback, at which point he realized that what he'd been seeking wasn't one object, it was anything not his! He has recently borrowed someone else's ribbon...

He and Frosting (the ribbon's original owner) vacationed in Fire for the first part of Light's glorious battle against Plague, but returned in time to assist their home clans. They had a nest while there; Fettucia and Lint enlisted in the Lightweaver's librarian forces as soon as Zedan and Frosting arrived with them in the Sunbeam Ruins, even before either parent had made it home.

They also took a vacation to Shadow, and had a nest while there as well; Mauve desired to stay with his father, despite Alternifolia's antipathy towards Pearlcatchers, while Kokardka and Ruban wanted to travel.



After some time as a Ridgeback, he began painting... with his nose! Batrocha painted him as he planned his next art project:
