Biography
⸙ code by wanderlustfaun
Andri loved to wander, they would spend hours off on their own even as a hatchling. By the time they reached adulthood, they would be out for days at a time. No one really worried unless they hadn't been seen for over a month.
Which is why they were in a bind now. They had just been minding their own business when the ground gave out under their claws. They had ended up in an ancient dry riverbed. Some areas were exposed to the sky while others went deep underground. Normally they could just climb out, but the walls crumbled under their weight when they tried. This wouldn't have been a problem if they were a breed that could fly, but no.
It hadn't even been that bad at first. They always kept plenty of supplies and they had an excellent sense of direction. They knew if they followed the remnants of the once mighty river they would find a place where the walls were lower. If they went even further, they would reach areas where dragons and various beastclans lived, so they had a chance of rescue.
Then they realized the riverbed had become home to a group of Shade-touched monsters. They could sense the wrongness coming off the creatures before them. They were just glad they had run into a monster first rather than one of the corrupted centaurs lingering in the area. That would have ended poorly if they had made the mistake of approaching.
Now they just had to stick to the shadows and try to get by. They were strong, but they couldn't handle that many opponents at once. All they could do was make very slow progress when they could find a safe way through.
They knew their supplies were going to run out soon and they hadn't found anything they could take without being caught. They had been losing hope as they only faced more dangerous creatures further along the riverbed. Just as they were debating trying to climb up the walls to the open sky they could see above, there was a commotion.
The ruckus only came closer, bringing their hackles up. At least until they saw the warriors clearing the way ahead. They had been so happy to see something that wasn't corrupted that they ran right out. This almost ended poorly for them, but thankfully the patrol realized they were a very bedraggled dragon quickly. It wasn't long before they were back home, safe and sound.
The clan had fussed over Andri, happy to see them in one piece. The Gaoler was warned they should probably stick closer to known paths or at least check in more often. The dragon had said they would, but they still ended up wandering again within a few months.
