The Bone Collector

Saintsinew wandered into the Black Swamp one day long ago and since just hasn't left. Confused, thin, and bloodied the dragon was fairly close to death when he was discovered by Orvil, collapsed at the edge of the territory. The white dragon was flown home where he was nursed back to good health by Troubled One but it's obvious that whatever happened to Sainsinew has permanently affected him.

The dragon never makes a sound, be it a grunt or a yell. A large parasitic claw, irremovable even to the most skilled doctor's hands, extends from one of his shoulders, an indicator he at least spent some considerable amount of time in the Plague Flight territory. An even more disturbing symptom of whatever mania has befallen the dragon appears to be a complete and total obsession with bones. It doesn't matter what kinds of bones. They can be large bones, small bones, dragon bones, beast bones, or bones of whatever critter he has found in the swamp. As long as they are bones. Bones appear to have become something of his Charge, and Saintsinew is commonly seen resting on his massive pile of bones or quietly organizing them. Saintsinew often watches other dragons as they eat, waiting to get the bones left over after their meal. Some of the clan's kinder sorts save interesting bones for him while others drive him away with sticks and angry yelling.

Morogog treats the dragon as kindly as he can. Pity from the Clan's Leader is largely why the dragon is allowed to stay as despite his mania he is largely harmless.

Saintsinew has a strange admirer in a Light Dragon Princess. She often reads to him, grooms him, and tends to him when he forgets to care for himself. Though her mate never speaks Opal seems to love him quite dearly and they are definitely one of the Clan's stranger couples.

RELATIONSHIPS

Saintsinew's mate Opal. he likes her as much as he can like anyone and doesn't seem to mind her very much at all. Sometimes he makes noises at her that might be words in whatever language he speaks now. Probably something like "I love you". We hope.
