It's not necromancy nor a touch of the great Plaguemother's contagions, it's softer, like moonlight made into water. Magic.

Duchess isn't sure how such a child hatched from she and Dyno but recognizes the beautiful sheen hidden in the layered grays and blacks of the hatchling's wings, that did come from her and one of her blue-tinged Pixie's floated around Lieselotte's head happily. It pointed and pointed until Duchess looked. Oh! There were small... nubs, as if the hatchling would grow antlers. She couldn't remember any of her magical friends liking the wildclaw hatchlings, only her coatl born, only the ones like her. Lieselotte seemed peaceful to Duchess but sad, somehow, aware of coming storms and things nameless.

She wondered if the youth would one day be able to use her power and drive as a wildclaw with the unknown gentle magic she felt within to command or accomplish some special means, perhaps a defender of the small magical creatures often overlooked. Duchess gathered a satin mage's bag she had been given by Roman and arranged it with presents for she knew where this child needed to go.

She asked Dyno to carry the hatchling to a new lair, on their way a gorgeous Wispwillow Peryton began to follow and Dyno intended to kill and eat the night-touched fawn but Lieselotte screeched when he drew near it. Duchess had warned him to heed the newborn's sensitivities.

"Very well," The Plague-draped Wildclaw whispered. He left the thing alone and it followed them, at a distance, all the way to Lieselotte's new home. Dyno left her on the outskirts of the new clan's territory without saying goodbye.
