Lore notes (aka a not actually that tragic backstory):
-abandoned as a hatchling when her parents saw that her colouration wasn't bright
-found wandering the Shrieking Wilds by a pack of wildclaws who (luckily) decided not to eat her
-they brought her back to their lair in the gladeveins which was a little more mixed, including some pale coatls
-raised there, early on she showed an aptitude for working with the channeling and damming of the waters there, was apprenticed to the Master Channeler
-after two years, all dragons in that clan are sent on a "pilgrimage" to experience the rest of the world, some return, some don't
-Serpensa came to light territory and found this clan, decided to stay but writes often
-used her knowledge to create and maintain a complicated network of aqueducts and pipes that supplies the clan's lair with water from the river that runs through the Hewn city
-met Viperous while working on the network one day, invited him back
