Passerine

When you lose faith in those around you, who will be there to support you? When you leave everyhting you've ever loved behind to start anew, the blood of your past still clings to you. You cannot escape, no matter how far you run, the ghosts of the past clinging on like a shadow. Passerine was once one of many, but has since wandered away. Those he had once thought of as family became more and more convoluted until he could no longer recognise them. So deeply entrenched in their beliefs, they refused to see the reality of the situation they were creating. He was not so jaded, and saw their dire situation from lengths away. So he ran, far away from them until the world around him was unrecogniseable. But wherever he goes, he leaves smoldering footprints, reminders of his past actions. And so he is forever tracked by his family, searching for their long lost heir. He is protected by Eurus, who provides him the endless stamina to travel the world, leaving scorched earth in his trail. It was never Passerine's intent to follow in the steps of his family, and yet he cannot help it. Wherever he goes, pain and destruction follows in a wave of flames.

Like carillon bells, the house of Augustus rings
With the echoing hymn of my fellow passerine, they took to it
Like a fox to a burrow, like an eagle to an aerie
