The concept of self-sacrifice and awakening of spiritual energy
Chhinnamasta is the concept of self-sacrifice and awakening of spiritual energy; Chhinnamasta the dragon, much like her mate, believes in the benefits of physical activity and keeping the mind and soul elevated through physical efforts. She does not often express her personal beliefs, let alone inflict them upon others, but she practices a healthy range of self-control in order to (she feels) better herself for her own benefit and that of those around her. Unlike many of the clan who used the text for their names only, she read extensively and has applied many of the concepts to her own worldview and routine. As far as even her children know, for she does not think it is fair to force one's beliefs upon another, she is a kind, nurturing, and generous soul who asks very little of the world around her and gives freely at every opportunity.
Sensing she needs some guidance Chhinnamasta has taken Svaha under her metaphorical wing. While Chhinnamasta did indeed decide her name based on her own understanding of the importance of self-sacrifice, hers is more centered entirely within her own self and experience. In the process of determining what she does and does not need in her life, she is able to better herself for the benefit of everyone.
