Stratus was a hatchling born to Atreyu and Antigone, who visited Icewalker territory searching for a nest for their young. With the help of the dragons here, used to the cold and ice, the nature-flight nest was hatched successfully, with all four younglings healthy. Though their presence was appreciated, when the weather cleared up enough for them to return to their homeland, they did. Except Stratus. Finding himself at home, he decided to stay, even though he loves his family very much. He writes letters often.

Growing up in the Icewalker clan, he found himself making friends with many of the dragons of similar age. Stratus and Earthbound have a very close friendship, as the two of them were hatched around the same time.

Stratus is canonically asexual.

A hatchling purchased from rubeusbeaky, and their lovely Beaky's Babies hatchery. His parents were the first pair I ever offered a nest rental to, and since then I have rented out nests and seen many a dragon come and go.

His relationship with Earthbound goes beyond lore - while I hosted his parents, rubeusbeaky hosted Earthbound's. Earthbound was born a day after Stratus, and thus the friendship seemed natural.
