Nereus is an industrious little creature; following after Alcyone like a shadow, he has proven himself to be a busy spirit, constantly picking up anything he finds out of place and restoring it to somewhere it "belongs." The clan's hoard has seen some rearranging as a result, which many dragons would consider a nuisance, except that Nereus remembers exactly where he put every last bit and bauble and needs only to be asked to retrieve the wanted items.
He remembers all of Alcyone's dreams, as well; she frequently talks in her sleep, and he commits all of her words, even the nonsense, to memory.
