possessed by a sentient amulet and it tells him to go to the southern icefield and climb mountains but dyno is out here winning the "i don't care" war and just does it whenever. the amulet is trying to make him freeze to death but the amulet doesn't know that he was born near the southern icefield and he's naturally accustomed to the cold

basically if you've ever seen the "souls of the innocent bagel" vine then that's pretty much the dynamic here
