  • A pair of conjoined sisters; Julie is the round-horned one, while Anna is long-horned.
  • They might be a pair of scientists; they share an interest in using technology to further dragonkind, but Julie also has knowledge in magical workings and applies that to their studies. Anna doesn't care for magic much.
  • Paired with MoonRise. The boys are possibly immortal twins who've lost sight of the value in life, so Julie and Anna need to be the sorts to help them find it again, or at least accidentally help them to do so. They could be trying to help break the boys' curse, or they could be interested in finding the secret of immortality for themselves. (Which works for the boys, too)
  • Unsure if they're responsible for the seasonal dragons or not. I didn't want to tie the seasonals to some nameless, "I dunno it was cool" scientist without a backstory, and I thought that they could handle that role. But I'm not sure if I can tie it into their character proper, though I can say they've done some radical things, the seasonals apply to their grander goals, or maybe they were evil scientists for a time and have (mostly?) turned around.
  • Maybe they were of good intent, but kinda got lost in their work as well as possibilities and forgot about the goal of helping others. So when Julie and Anna meet Moon and Rise who are suffering under a curse, they decide to help the boys out (either out of kindness or interest) and rediscover why it was that they were pursuing science to begin with. Boom.
