Biography
"You will never have to face those horrors again. I swear on my life, I will make sure you know happiness and a place to call home."
-Amethyst, rescuing Marbel from her prison
-Amethyst, rescuing Marbel from her prison
Who, who are you really?
Eternal patience rests in her bosom. Both mentally and physically disabled, Marbel is often described as childish in nature, but there are times when her dark past shows itself in her words.Half of Marbel's left wing is missing, and she has poor eyesight. She speaks very slowly and very carefully, always choosing her words with care. Marbel is against violence to the point of extremes, at times--even if she is under attack, she will refuse to fight even on the verge of death. She claims that it is because she believes violence is never the answer, no matter what. Those who know of her origins believe it to be a product of her disturbing and abusive upbringing. Despite that, however, Marbel is gentle and even poetic at times. She found her place in the clan when she discovered her great talent and connection with animals, becoming the clan's familiar herder. She can often be seen surrounded by a small flock of familiars that follow her around wherever she goes, and takes naps while covered and surrounded by them. It's her duty to care for and bond with all of them, and it's a job she does very well, and with much joy. She considers them her children just as much as the ones she lays herself. |

And where, where are you going?
Before she came to live in this Nature clan, Marbel knows that she lived in a Plague clan. That it was always dark and cold, and that sometimes, very rarely, dragons would come to visit her. They weren't nice visits though. She didn't understand why they would hurt her so much, and she didn't understand why they would take her children away so soon after they were born. Was she a bad mother? A bad dragon? She was rescued from that dark and sad place, though, and taken to live in the Aikka clan. She was introduced to warm sunlight and warm food and warm friends. She was allowed to eat whatever and whenever she wanted, and even told, could live wherever she wanted as well. She was given many options to choose from, many of which were more equipped to tend to a dragon with her special needs than the clan that rescued her, but she insisted no, she wanted to stay here. This was the first place she had felt happiness and warmth, and even love. She had no intentions of leaving. Ever.
She fell in love with a Pearlcatcher named Dipper, and although it took him a long time, his own cold heart melted into love for her, as well. Understanding the hardships that she had gone through, though, he always assured her, he would never force her to have children with him, but she insisted. She wanted to make up for the time she lost with her old children by loving her new ones. She still feels guilt for not being able to protect her children from the dark place she was born. If she had one regret, it would be that she never got to apologize to them or care for them like she should have.
