- i imagine her to be a master manipulator who's so charismatic, you'll listen to her (no matter how many times she's led you astray). kind of like ben linus from lost

the first time they met, dzhe had only been in the court for a few hours. during his tour, he visited the scrying pools (blii ji jip). aalken was walking with her advisor and dzhe was following vitaliya (she was showing her around).

as they got closer to each other, they could feel something different. there was a different energy/feeling in their bodies. and when they're about fifteen feet away from each other they stop and stare, tilting their heads. aalken is the first to move, slightly inching forward and sniffing the air, her antennae subtly shifting. dzhe is initially shocked and moves his head back slightly, before pressing forward as well.

aalken's advisor is watching from the sidelines (prob like ??? what's going on here, why is aalken acting so odd) while vitaliya knows exactly what's happening (she's so old/so used to working with & manipulating souls that she could feel the similar energies/souls the moment she met dzhe).

they both don't stop until their noses are almost touching, before aalken rumbles deeply, "sa." (brother). dzhe rumbles back, "uw," (sister) and they touch noses before sliding to rub cheeks together (in lore, a greeting used for old/close friends and family). aalken's feather crest ruffles as dzhe's tail twirls restlessly.

vitaliya suggests that aalken finish his tour. aalken's advisor protests because aalken has work to do, but vitaliya herds them away to let the siblings bond.

the news spreads fast, especially because aalken is such a wildcard that many can't believe that she even has a brother. especially because she is the younger of the two (yuuzba wove her directly into the court, where dzhe was woven to start off as an unstable godling and earn his place among the elder gods. they never met until dzhe ascended)

i imagine aalken visits yuuzba the day she finds out that she has a brother to demand why she hadn't been told. yuuzba probably tells her "there are things we all must experience, you are no exception." aalken is probably big mad after that and storms off (and cyril mutters "spoiled brat" under his breath as she leaves)

(being directly woven into the court is rare, which is why aalken believes she deserves to be a ruler. she has built a strong relationship with yuuzba and cyril as well, to try to get her way. cyril has little patience for her, and sees her as a spoiled child, while yuuzba remains neutral about her daughter

siblings in my lore are souls that have split. this is because most gods don't have parents, but are created by various powerful beings, like yuuzba or vitaliya. souls are the source of all power/magic within lore, which is why siblings are so powerful together)
