Biography
"Yeesh, that's a big one. Too big to reasonably sell, unless someone wants its ashes...? Either way, I can get rid of this spirit, but it'll cost you more than my usual rate. How about... 500 gems? Sound good?"
You find the mirror at the edge of Starwood Strand, surrounded by clear jars of varying sizes. Some of them contained dancing lights bouncing against the glass, others were filled with colorful swirling smoke. Some remained empty. A covered wooden cart sat a few feet away.
The mirror himself sat in the middle of the collection sharpening his bright green claws. He happened to glance away from his task and toward you. He jumped, and his eyes were wide as he looked at you and around you, before relaxing.
"Sorry, didn't see you there," he said while straightening his posture. "Did you need something? I was just finishing packing up shop, but I could see if I have what you're looking for."
You explain the kind of spirit you wanted: an orange light that emitted smoke that was fairly inactive, for a birthday present. The mirror frowned as you described it and then shook his head.
"Definitely don't have that, I'm afraid," he said. "Dual wisps are hard to come by, and relaxed ones even more so. Might have to settle for something else."
You nodded and turned to leave. He saw your disappointment and thought for a moment. "Hey, hold on."
You looked back, and the mirror continued, "You think a pink one would work just as well? Yea? Then stick around for a bit. Scout's out foraging for dead meat, but when she comes back we can go into the Strand and see what we can find, if you're willing to wait a while."
Your face lights up and you nod wildly, thanking him for the compromise. You settle onto the lavender grass. The mirror yawns and stretches before curling into a ball. He closed his eyes and mumbled, "I'm charging you extra for this, by the way."
