Ensign Mopbucket didn't really know what to expect. After the flying island fell all of his kind decided to scatter- off to explore and log everything that they've missed groundward for generations.
He was in charge of filing away important documents before anything terrible befell them (like becoming snacks- he had long since learned to keep a handful of stationary on hand to avoid having to file paperwork in triplicate yet again) so he thought he could be very useful for such tasks to his new home. However he was given a slightly different career.
This was not filing precious paperwork. But... his mother always did say he had very good vision so perhaps keeping an eye, so to speak, on these beasts won't be so bad. He even gets his own office!
