Biography

xxxxx
HYPERION deity of the hunt.
xxxxx"savor your soul."

xxx the deity of the hunt, an ancient god revered by plenty in tidewood. ageless, genderless, unsympathetic—they were once of prime power before committing an unpardonable sin. cast from their pedestal by yukari, they are forced to wander mallowview until some form of penance is paid. hyperion often speaks in disjointed sentences with borderline mockery, providing the same discomfort one may get from scraping an old chalkboard. they are not to be trusted, for only a coin's toss may determine whether the faint stench of blood clinging to its wicked claws may gain a fresh coat.

STORY that which started it all.

xxx

there was no warmth in those eyes, no glimmer of recognition, no indication of acknowledgement; there were only the disintegrating wisps of energy, curling into the obsidian sky.

the swaying grasses beneath your feet bayed at the prospect of fresh blood.

the end was nigh.

///

created when mallowview sprung into life, hyperion has always been a selfish creature. it cares for one thing and one thing only; the thrill of the chase.

back before tidewood was even named as such, dragons paid homage to them by performing exquisite hunts, leaving only the biggest and freshest kills at their lair for offerings. some said it would grant blessings for the year, some said it would allow them to adopt hyperion's own skills.

their love for the chase, for the hunt, eventually gravitated from prey to ... larger, more challenging prizes. some whisper of the cannibal lost to the woods, but no one has provided proof—or lived to tell the tale.
