Boil's egg had been brought to the Deeplair by a very worried Sleek, who had found it discarded in the harbour, likely cast out from a smuggling vessel. Slime and pus were oozing through cracks in its shell, possibly making the smuggler fear contamination of their other goods.

After a thorough examination by the lairs healers and alchemists, they realized that the fluids were caused by the hatchlings development of primal sight, and that it would be for the best to hatch the egg prematurely in case of complications.
