a loyal and mediating Irish soldier sworn to Uhtred of Bebbanburg. the two met as slaves on a rowing ship, and once they had escaped, Finan never left his side. the two became brothers alongside Sihtric and Osferth, and fought side by side for years through thick and thin. though there were many tragedies, and the loss of one of their own, they never left each other. true brothers to the last.
