As her outfit might suggest, Vale is well acquainted with forests and nature, primarily due to her friend Rubia. Although the Windswept Plateau has few proper forests, his wide knowledge of plants has him taking point in foraging excursions, and he is a valuable friend to alchemists, healers, chefs, and flower lovers.

Having thoroughly explored the bamboo forests and bunches of trees that the Windswept Plateau has to offer, Vale was, well, a bit bored. But one day a drake named Zimaraz wandered into town, confused and lost. With nothing to his name besides a journal, not even his memories, he was quite the addition to the town. Vale was intrigued by the drake, and talked with him. After he showed her his journal, Vale wanted to help him find out his past. Believing that the Tangled Wood might be Zimaraz's former home, he set out to investigate. But, in stereotypical spiral nature, he got distracted by a balloon named Juki. He was offering sewing lessons. How could Vale resist taking sewing lessons from a dragon that's sewn together? Clearly he would be an expert. After sewing together three little dolls, Vale remembered her mission, and started asking around. No one could tell him anything about Zimaraz, or what what written in his journal, unfortunately, but sewing knowledge and special little dragon dolls made the trip worthwhile.
