Firebird holds the blaze of a roaring inferno to mean more than just their namesake. It encompasses their entire personality, making them a fiery force to be reckoned with. Brash and ever so bold, Firebird is quick to make themself known both on the battlefield and in interpersonal relationships. Some may find it difficult to get along with them due to their strong personality, but ultimately many know that Firebird means well. S U M M A R Y Born from the dying embers of a phoenix caught in the crossfires of war, Firebird came into Sornieth cloaked in fury. They were raised from the heat of a dire and deadly conflict, a grand war between two dragon clans. So long had the clans been warring that neither side fully recalled what had caused the blood feud, each opposing force only knowing the other to be an enemy worth killing. Sheer rage at the injustice caused by the phoenix's death overtook Firebird the moment they rose from the ash. Flame rained from the sky as they bombarded both sides of the conflict that had caused them to rise, sending both forces fleeing in a desperate retreat. Even the mightiest Fire dragon quaked at the heat radiating off the skydancer's wings as she dove and struck at the warring dragons. Many dragons met their end in Firebird's attack. In mere minutes, what had once been a fearsome battlefield had become a silent, smoldering grave. Seemingly pleased by the silence that followed the end of the attack, Firebird finally grew still. Their flame-cloaked eyes drifted to the sun beginning to rise over the horizon, the sunrise beginning to mark the dawn of a new day. A new era. Struck by what knowledge of what they needed to do, Firebird took to the skies, aiming to find the next great war they were meant to end. As they flew off, embers scattered from their glowing wings and fell to the scorched earth. From these embers, fresh greens sprouts began to grow, seemingly unaffected by the residual heat of the battle... Since then, the rumor of a rogue skydancer has plagued many a hostile, careless clan. Firebird seems not to bother themself with the average petty feud or small conflict. However, when conflict turns to battle, and battle turns to war, and war begins to cause devastation to innocent creatures...That is when Firebird can be seen again. Firebird seems to act now as a protector of the innocent casualties that stem from war, a symbol of hope and rebirth to those who lost everything to needless bloodshed. |
