"as spring inches closer and closer, genu finds herself getting antsier and antsier... after spending the long, cold winter season stratifying her hundreds of seedlings, she's SO ready to get them planted into the softened soil!! she doesn't over-winter all of her seedlings; it's only her particular favourites, any cross-breeding experiments, or new species to her garden that she prefers to baby and over-winter by hand so she can keep a close eye on them and their progress.

it's in those last few days of winter that really has her on edge; she's nearly perfected her art of germination, but it doesn't get easier with every new spring! she tends to fret over whether her seedlings have been hardened off enough, if the soil is the perfect ph, did she remember to mix in the proper fertilizer, and is even guilty of anthropomorphizing her plants just a tad "too much"... ("i sure hope they'll get along with the new seedlings...", she mutters under her breath)"
