When Maledictio was born, he was discarded from the nest because his scales were as dull as a thundercloud on a stormy day. It was per tradition and superstition, that all naturally white or gray Coatls were curses upon either the clan as a whole, or the parents themselves. Before he was shortly discarded, he was given a terrible name. His moniker means curse, but.. I'm sure you wouldn't want to even know what language it's from. He had a terrible time, trying to survive as a young hatchling. As a Water-aligned dragon, he was born in the Sea of a Thousand Currents; if you asked him, he'd say it was amongst the worst places to be abandoned in. He could not learn how to swim until he was 10 years old, and even then, in his eyes everything was still difficult. He had to hunt for his own food, but he was quite terrible as there was nobody to teach him the way of hunting and gathering. Sometimes, he had to have his Squall Rasa, Monitio, do it for him when he couldn't. Eventually he grew older, and older, until he reached the qualifications for being a dragon at the age of a young adult. He met many dragons, all of which couldn't understand him and vice versa. This caused him to force himself to learn to speak the draconic language, and force his ears to adapt. It was hard to do so.. but he's managed for this long. On a stormy night, he encountered the Clan of the Cyclone's leader Stormsoother. He was allowed in.. as the clan has no care for superstition.  "When I was born, I was then immediately disliked. My own parents saw my coloration, the taunting gray; and they thought me to be of evil. I was then banished, and I struggled.. but I've found my haven within these walls. I swore that never again will I be discarded by someone." | ____________ |
