Sombre

Sombre came to Steadfast while the crack was small and seemingly harmless, yet the strange black ash that already floated from it already covered their scales.
They did not speak for months after they arrived, yet one day they settled besides Sulce and began to speak.
They rambled about the world already falling, of great earthquakes splitting cities in two, of how they'd flown here through tremors in the air.
They'd seen it coming, yet no-one had believed them.
No-one aside from a strange, cloaked figure of indeterminable species who'd told them of Steadfast. Sombre had done as told - there had been something about the figure that commanded belief.
Something had gathered the denizens of Steadfast
